I Won Tickets to Alanis Morissette Concert :)
*ECSTATIC*
Hello blog readers you would not believe what happened to me...So as I'm sure you know I love rock music anything from Alanis to Evanescence, from Linkin Park to Blue October. So because of my love for rock I listen to the greatest rock station in The Bahamas, Y98, (Its actually 98.7 on your radio LOL)....So there was this super big contest to win 2 free tickets to see Alanis Morissette live in concert.....so I've been trying to win these tickets from Tuesday and I took me until Thursday (today) to finally get through the request line and correctly answer the question....well its not really a question. See the Djs Saraan & Angel will play an Alanis Morissette "song blog" or "song block" I don't know which one it is I'll have to ask...and you have to give the names of all the songs played and if your right, they'll give you two free tickets to the concert. The regular price of these tickets are like $150!!!!, So I'm sure you know how many persons like myself was trying to win these...I mean come on $150 that's a lot of my, of course there are Alanis Morissette Fans out there like myself who would pay that kind of money to see her so I thought of this as a reward for being her Fan!!! anyway I have to go celebrate...

My Saturday

Hey everyone, So I spent pretty much my whole day in Starbucks today and for the first time I didn't have coffee while sitting in Starbucks. - Can you believe it-I know....
So something really cool happened today.........
So I'm just there sipping my Iced Passion Tea with Extra Classic a new member of the team -well she's new because I've never seen her...came up to me and was like "Excuse me are you waiting for someone?" Already I'm like she must be apart of the team, so I responded "Yes I'm waiting on the rest of the newspaper team". Relived that she found the right table she goes "Oh ok" and takes her reserved seat beside me. Since we were extra early, well I am always early because I usually arrive about 30 minutes prior to the scheluded time, just to ensure that when everyone arrives I'm there to greet them. The next thing I knew we were having a meaningful conversation mostly about business. However obviously if a girl and guy are together they will talk about more than just business( Like Avril Lavigne song Skater Boy says "He was a boy she was a girl can it be anymore obvious?") thus our personal conversation began. She broke the ice by just coming out and asking me if I had a girlfriend stating that she didn't want to be rude or over step her boundaries but was curious. Well can you blame her hearing the achievements and goals I've accomplished combined with my sense of style, charm, personality and the subliminal jokes I threw into our business conversation-never make jokes with your boss, unless she is really hot and its only you and her lol
So yeah I guess she couldn't help but ask..and we know that I don't have a girlfriend right now so I replied "No I don't have a girlfriend". Of course this was the point where out business conversation took a fall and changed into a personal conversation.
Truthfully we actually shared the same views on relationship and responsibilities while that was obvious to me what wasn't was the fact that we created some type of bond and gave off a certain vibe that my boss and another member picked up. Of course we denied it but in my examples and durning my input into the various activities we participated in I realized that I was using her in then. - I made an illustration about customers and I used her in my examples. Although she didn't give much input into the activities since the meeting was primarily for us not her she did give her best when the questions were directed to her.
When the meeting was over we all decided how we were going to split up and SURPRISE we ended up planning the same route. But here's the interesting part when we were walking out of starbucks I made mention to my team that the lady who was talking on her cellphone for the past 2 and a half hours (No joke) was actually the Chief Magistrate Linda P. Virgill and being the person I am I wanted to know if it really was her so I approached her lol. "Excuse me, I've seen your face on TV and I was wondering who you were", I said - She replied " You see plenty people on TV". In my mind I'm like lol yea I do but I know your Linda Virgill, quickly following up with what she just said I asked "Are you a lawyer or magistrate?" She said "I'm Linda Virgill" (In my mind What what- are you serious!). In shock I quickly made a sign to my team who was watching from a distance. "This is Chief Magistrate Linda Virgill" ....
We all introduced ourselves and soon was having a real conversation about our plans and projects - but remember we were on our way out of the door so we scheduled a meeting for another time.
Remember the girl well in the end I gave her my number I decided that if I got her number I'll probably call and what if she's not into me what if the whole reason she broke the ice was just out of curiosity? so if she calls I'll know the reason...
Of course I'll tell you if she called in one of my new Bloggeries.

New Experience
So yesterday I had a meeting at this public school and although I've never attended a public school before I have nothing against them.....BUT I had the shock of my life when I saw first hand the things that went on.
First of all you have to be screened by a security guard who obviously saw that I posed no threat and offered to let me in since I told him I was on official newspaper business-LOL
So I'm in the school and already its like packed with children and I'm going each one of these classes are about the population of my entire high school (not really) so already the small private school thing is getting to me...Anyway I went to the office and this "ghetto" girl was like "Hey you boy, where you get that Starbucks from? You don't go to this school aye", Taking a moment to analyze her words and convert it into its proper form I answer "No, I do not attend this school" (And obviously if I'm drink a venti Passion Tea with Extra Classic I got it from Starbucks).
So while waiting on an Administrator or any official to approach me this lady dressed in a shocking Citrus aurantifolia or Key Lime gave me a very nefarious look and said "Yes", Thinking she can't be talking to me I reply "Hi, I came for the newspaper" Luckily the Chief editor was standing behind her and went "He's with me". Relived that she doesn't have to take her "precious" time and assist me with anything she went on to deal with a young lady who was sent out of class for some reason...
So were out of the office now and I'm standing adjacent to room 25 which is on the second level. As I stand there I'm looking down on a garden of green filled with palms and all sorts of green plants. In the corner of the garden was this rubbish container will with the students food remains from there first break prior to my arrival. At this point thoughts go through my head about someone throwing me over the railing and into the container...then the bell rings. Its Lunch time or should I say its a STAMPEDE tons of children separated into many groups mostly of there own gender walk the halls with all eyes on me. The girls think "Whats his name" "Whats his number" -I assume while its obviously they guys are looking to rob and fight. Standing still amids it all sipping the remainder of my Passion tea, biting the straw...
The point is I've never been around so many students and because I know of there (not to stereotype or anything) but these students have been tagged as potential murders and its a shocking reality to a some percentage of them. AND I'M AMONGST THEM- A foreigner (Remember the song "Your as cold as ice" By The Foreigner)someone for them to make an example of... But I prayed and I left unharmed yahhh :)
I guess thats the difference in coming from a private school where its safe:)
Hope you like all of my Bloggeries
